Winter Lights

Newtonmore, with around 1,000 residents, has some of the best winter lights in the country. They are lit during November and continue to shine through the dark months until February. The lights stretch along the whole length of the village and come in several styles.

There are also two Christmas trees in the village over the festive season, one at the Macpherson Museum and the other in the Village Square.

The Winter Lights are funded by the community. Their maintenance, storage and the work of putting them up and taking them down is covered by income from the Winter Lights 100 Club. If you would like to become a member contributing £10 a month (and potentially winning prizes in our publicly-held monthly draws), please contact wgrahamfraser@gmail.com.
