Highland Games

Newtonmore holds its Highland Games against the dramatic background of Creag Dhubh (756m) on the first Saturday of every August.

In a spectacular setting, this is a truly traditional Highland Games with much community support and participation.

As well as the usual Highland Games events of piping, dancing, putting the shot and tossing the caber, we have the unique Creag Dhubh Hill Race and Clan Macpherson Annual Rally and march. And Newtonmore always attracts great pipe bands.

A great day out for the whole family, watching the events in the ring (or joining in!), visiting the stalls and listening to the music.

There’s now a page for our Newtonmore Highland Games – it’s just been created! – would you please follow it, then like this post and leave us a little emoji or hello in the comments below to help get us started?! Thanks!
