The 215 mile cycle route from Glasgow to Inverness passes through the village.
As it happens, whether you’re travelling south to north or vice versa, cyclists have found that we are an ideal place to break the journey. So why not stop over for a night – or even 2 – for a well-earned rest?
Cycle routes too numerous to mention abound in the local area – in and around the Glen Truim, Etteridge & Phones Estates and, further afield, around Loch Insh and on Rothiemurchus & Alvie Estates.
There’s also Basecamp Mountain Bike (MTB) based at Laggan Wolftrax. This fabulous operation has just over 6 kms of really challenging Black routes, more than double that of testing trails for intermediates and almost 5 kms of fun for beginners. They offer great base facilities too and all this is just a short drive away!! Read More...
With more practical considerations in mind, bike hire is available via MTB at Wolftrax or The Bike Shed in Newtonmore. Servicing & repairs are close at hand through MTB at Wolftrax.

Corrieyairack Pass Route
A high difficult route joining the Great Glen to Speyside
This is one wild ride - even though the logistics are a challenge as it is a point to point route and is best done when rider and bike are shuttled to Fort Augustus.
In mountain biking circles in Scotland and across the UK, Wolftrax is rapidly becoming a byword for cool. It has a cool café - BaseCamp MTB, really cool staff, it's in a cool location and it has the very coolest of trails.
