Newtonmore Village Hall
Newtonmore Parents, Babies and Toddlers (Croileagan Bhaideanach) offers parents (and grandparents or other carers of children under 5) the chance to bring their pre-school children to a morning of play. The group is run out of Newtonmore Village Hall and operates Wednesday & Friday mornings 10.00am -12midday during school term time.
The environment provided is a good space, where older children can run around and play with the larger toys and activity equipment and babies and younger children can be occupied on soft mats. The group aims to be friendly and welcoming to all. Refreshments for children are provided on a rota basis by regular attendees and parents and carers get a chance to talk over a tea or coffee.
Wednesdays are our Gaelic sessions and we have a Gaelic play leader present who encourages the children to experience the language via songs, play and group games. However, no one needs to be even vaguely fluent in Gaelic to attend!
Fridays are our self-organised session where we arrange events such as baby massage, first aid, health talks, messy play and other creative activities such as play-doh and painting.
We try to have several fundraising events throughout the year such as coffee mornings and table-top sales, not to mention special Easter and Christmas events.
We are run by parents, for the benefit of our families in Newtonmore, Laggan, Dalwhinnie, Kingussie and beyond, and welcome new faces!
Attendance is free, (but donations are gratefully received!)
