Newtonmore is at the very heart of the Scottish Highlands and is consequently easy to reach from all directions.  

The village lies a mile and a half off the A9, the main artery road to the North of Scotland,  14 miles south of Aviemore. It is an hour's journey from Inverness and Fort William,  two - three hours from Glasgow or Edinburgh,  and 2 hours from Aberdeen.  

Newtonmore is on the main railway line to the North.   The night sleeper to London stops here by arrangement and there are regular services through the day.  

Scottish Citylink Coach services from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Inverness also stop in Newtonmore every two hours through the day.  

Flying into Scotland,  you can be in Newtonmore in a couple of hours in a hire car  from any of the main airports.  

You will find driving in and around Newtonmore a pleasure,  Outside the peak times of late July and Autust, you'll find miles and miles of road almost to yourself.
